Interactive Works teamed up with McDougal Littell to produce interactive learning modules focused on 27 famous authors featured in its Language of Literature series. Some of the authors include Edgar Allen Poe, Maya Angelou, and Jack London. Each module consists of five main sections. Section one, called Life & Times is an interactive timeline about important events in the author's life. Next, the Author's Bookshelf section is an interactive list of the author's works. Third, Investigating Style gives excerpts of the author's works and allows the user to identify distinctive portions of the writer's style. The fourth section, Notable Quotes, illustrates famous quotes and excerpts from the author's life and works. Lastly, Name Game tests the students’ knowledge about the author's life through a drag and drop exercise. IW efficiently produced all of the modules by creating a data-driven model. This model allows for easy edits, updates, and the production of any future modules.
